Full itinerary
- You will be picked up from your hotel based in the region at 9.00 am and head to Ephesus Ancient site. Your experienced tour guide will lead you in the site and tour will take around 3 hours. You will visit Odeion, Hadrian Temple, Divine Caesar Temple, Fountains of Trajan and Pollia, Celsus Library and ancient toilets. You will visit the highlight of the tour at the end, which is ancient theater of Ephesus.
- After your visit of Ephesus, you will be hosted by a local family in a small village close to Selcuk to enjoy your local lunch in a small courtyard of a village house. You will get to try yummy local specialties cooked by the family and you will have a chance to ask for the recipe to the cook!
- Next, you will pay a visit to a handicraft atelier in the village where local ladies making hand made rugs to be shipped all around the world. You will enjoy a quick demonstration and get further information about this amazing local art. After a quick demonstration at the atelier, you will head to Selcuk town center and go for a walking tour there, first stop will be Isa Bey Mosque. It was built in the Seljuk Era which is before Ottoman Empire times, you will recognize the difference in architecture style. Next, you will visit the Ephesus Museum to see beautiful ruins of Ephesus from Roman and Christian times. Last stop will be Artemis Temple, which is one of the Seven Wonders of the World from ancient times.
